The process of learning, retaining and building knowledge for successful youth development practice is a continuous cycle. In order to support youth development practitioners to gain and transfer the learning into the program environment, it is important to structure the training process to include several actionable steps (Metz, Burkhauser and Bowie, 2009).
Each professional development module offered in Foundations of Positive Youth Development and Coaching and Managing for Success addresses this full range of steps to enhance professional development through a variety of learning options that engage the participant to explore further at his/her pace, using a variety of adult-learning styles.
